In Photos: Celebrating Chicago with Navy Pier’s spectacular fireworks

Every year Chicago rings in the summer with a spectacular display of fireworks at the Navy Pier. The fireworks are in sync with great music and gentle breeze blowing across the Lake Michigan. They take place every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the summer, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Additional firework shows take place on special occasions of Independence Day (4th July), Halloween (31st October) and at midnight on New Year’s Eve (31st December).

You can view the fireworks while enjoying the many attractions on the Navy Pier dock. You can also watch the fireworks from Chicago’s many beaches or while lounging in rooftop bars and restaurants. Or you can take one of the many firework cruises and watch the fireworks explode on the shimmering backdrop of Chicago’s beautiful skyline.

I attended Navy Pier fireworks on various occasions when I lived in Chicago from 2010-2013
