Happy Father’s Day y’all! We planned to celebrate by going out for brunch but by the time we all got ready it was almost lunch time. That is a common occurrence around our family! Does that keep happening to you too? As it was late and S was super hungry, we decided to go someplace close and discovered this cool little cafe that opened up in the neighborhood. It’s located in an unappealing strip mall and we initially had second thoughts about going in. It’s actually a mix between café and burger place and has really cool interior. I’ll let the pictures do the talking!
The interior is really cool and looks straight out of the HGTV or a lifestyle mag. The décor is eclectic with unique touches like the bulb shaped vases. I could recognize a lot of stuff from Ikea. They have a cool chalkboard wall where kids can draw. They also have a private room full of graffiti for a large group. The place specializes in coffee and they have an interesting display of clocks showing the origin of their coffee beans. For a coffee house, its hip and spot on!
Their burger menu is pretty unique. I ordered the Thai Affair burger while C got the Blue Cheese Burger with strawberry relish and avocado. Mine was yummy and crunchy with a crispy chicken patty, peanut sauce, caramelized onions and what seemed like bok choy! The burger bread was fresh and airy. While mine was a hit, C’s Burger was a tad on greasy side. We also got the parmesan fries and onion rings. The fries were nicely seasoned and appealing with cilantro on top. We ordered ‘Gambled Eggs’ for S. They were so cool! Just look at them. The serving size is huge; we bought half our meal home. They also serve sandwiches, wraps and salads. The drink menu looked great. They also have great hot and cold coffee as well as shakes. Do try some of their unique burgers if in the area!
