India is a large and beautiful country. It is incredibly diverse in its languages, cultures, land-forms, world heritage sites, festivals and cuisines. My view of India is a little biased since it is my country but no traveler in India would be left unmoved by the sheer visual stimuli on vibrant display.

I have traveled extensively in India as a child with my parents and the wondrous sights are deeply etched in my mind. I can perfectly recall the shimmering marble cliffs of Bhedaghat, Jabalpur, the serene beauty of Srinagar, the towering grandiosity of the Himalayas, the meeting of three seas at Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari, the pristine beaches of Kokan in Maharashtra or the Dasara celebration in the grand Palace of Mysore. Being fortunate enough to visit these and other places at a time when 35 mm film camera was a luxury for most families and children seldom handled cameras has profoundly impacted my passion for traveling. This is my take on India through now travel-seasoned eyes.
